Hi All,
So have you ever had an idea that you wanted to create and then the opportunity comes knocking on the door. Well that was this shoot. My teacher gave us the assignment to take a editorial portrait (a story telling image meant for print) I had the perfect model and the perfect place. It was amazing.
My idea was to take a picture of a friend of mine who is a wine master, but who looks so far from what we would think a wine master should look like. It was perfect. When we got to our location, a restaurant in the Scottsdale Quarter called Tanzy I was hearing bells and whistles. They have this beautiful and huge wine wall, it was perfect.
Now of course at my photoshoots we have to have some form of trouble happen (it's what makes it fun) I was using a beauty dish on a c-stand with an arm and well the beauty dish just did not want to stay on so. I am right below it with my assistant holding it still why i have this shot. Everything was perfect and as I was talking to my subject Jarom what do I hear fall. . . you guessed wrong it was my camera, it had somehow fell off the table.
MY CAMERA!!!!!!!!
It was the worst thing to ever happen, my baby!!!!!!!! FELLLLLLLLLLLLLL. I just couldn't deal (I was crying for hours when I got home trying to make it forgive me for dropping it. I tried to bribe it with a fresh new battery, but it still isn't talking to me.)
Overall the photos were perfect. I loved the final product and it was just how I envisioned so I can't and would never complain.
